If money wasn’t an issue, what would you be doing right now?

I am posing this question, because I want you to take a second to really think about the life experiences you would love to have if money wasn’t an issue. Where are some of the places you would travel to? What type of cuisine would you indulge in? Would you be doing something adventurous and daring, or would you be relaxing your mind, body, and soul?

Did you notice that I did not ask about what material thing you would buy such as a house, car, jewelry, etc., but about life experiences? Material things are nice to have and can make life convenient, however, they may not bring happiness. The memories that you create and the fun experiences that you have, can make a big difference in your life and change your outlook to a positive one.

Too often, we let our worries consume us, instead of doing the things that make us happy. While money is required to get a lot of things done, there are ways to create the experiences that you want, without spending a lot of money. It may take some creative thinking or prioritizing in your budget.

For example, have you always wanted to travel to a new destination? If so, what is stopping you? Many times when planning to travel, whether by cruise ship, airline, train, etc., we plan for long vacations which can become expensive. Why not opt for a weekend travel instead? Why not go on a cruise that last for 2 nights, instead of one that is for 4 or 5 nights, if your budget doesn’t allow? A 2 night cruise is still a cruise, and I am sure you will have just as much fun.

Whatever you have identified as the experiences you would like to have, think of ways to achieve those experiences and put a plan in place to make it happen. Your quality of life will be so much better once you have those experiences.

That’s it for this post! If you feel comfortable sharing, please write in the comment section below what fun experiences you are going to work on achieving. I would love to hear from you!
